This topic is part of a series of articles about the Precisely Customer Community. For the full list of topics, please visit: How to Access and Use the Precisely Customer Community
The Precisely Ideas Community provides an open and collaborative channel to submit your innovative product enhancement request i.e. Ideas around Precisely's existing and future offerings. You can easily submit new ideas or comment on existing Ideas in a way that is visible and transparent to all participants. You also have the unique opportunity to contribute to an Idea's overall popularity by promoting the idea.
The Precisely Product Management team will review Ideas based on many factors and evaluate their potential for inclusion in our short and long-term development plans. Participants who have submitted or commented on an Idea may be contacted by our team. Your contact information will not be used for any other purpose. We value your contribution to making Precisely offerings even better and look forward to seeing your Ideas.
If you have access to the Customer Community, Partner Community (Partner only), or Knowledge Communities, then you will have access to the Ideas Community.
Once you have logged into the Ideas Community, you can use the search Ideas to see if an existing Idea exists. If it doesn't exist, you can select the Add a new Idea button to raise your Idea. Once selected, you can then select the product you wish to raise the Idea against and then complete the rest of the form
Your Idea - This is a one-sentence summary of the Idea
You can then provide a detailed description of your Idea, which can include images and you can also attach files.
Because Product Management uses the information provided herein to make decisions as to which Ideas are considered for future product development, it is in your best interest to provide as much detail as possible regarding the request and the business case/reasons for it.
Once you have completed your Idea, you can then select the Share Idea button to submit the Idea. Your Idea will appear against the product you selected when you created it, as well as the My Ideas menu item for quick access to any Idea you have raised.
Anyone within the Ideas Community can vote on the Ideas, with each vote getting 1 vote. You can only vote once on an Idea, if you vote in error then selecting vote again will remove your vote. Any Ideas you have voted on will appear in the My Votes menu item.
If you want to follow an Idea, after selecting the title to open it for reading, you can use the Subscribe button to be notified about changes to the Idea. Any Idea you have subscribed to will be shown against the My Subscriptions menu item.
Product Management may ask questions on the Idea and will keep the status of the Idea up to date by using the following statuses
| New | Enhancement has been submitted but not yet reviewed by the Product Manager |
| More Information Requested | Product Manager has asked for more information from the submitter to better understand the enhancement requested |
| Not Implementing at this time | Enhancement requested is not something we will consider at this time for the product |
| On the Backlog | Enhancement requested is something we are considering but it is in our product backlog and not currently scheduled in a release |
| Future Consideration | Enhancement requested is something we may consider in the future but is not currently on the roadmap or in our backlog |
| On the Roadmap | Enhancement requested is currently scheduled in a future release |
| Now Available | Enhancement requested has been released or is already available in the product |
You are also able to see Recent, Trending, and Popular Ideas by selecting the named tabs. These can be from the homepage or from a Specific product if you select one in the left-hand menu. Selecting the product again, will remove the focus from that product and bring you back to all products.
